KIMBERLEY

This beauty is Kimberley!
Kimberley came to us from the Bay Area 🙂
Her session was such a blast
We laughed so much my cheeks hurt!
She brought her best friend which helped
ease her nerves and made for a fun day!
Her tattoos and colorful hair made the pics pop!
The entire session was done
in our studio in Colfax, CA
The last time this beauty was on her way
she was headed to visit the beautiful Lake Tahoe!
Hope you enjoy a few images from her session!
Her session was on Snapchat (brittany.rose3) too!

My favorite part of the shoot was definitely hearing the feedback from Brittany and Mike. The ooh and the ahhs… some of the positions are awkward, you feel a little out of place and a little bit strange positioning your body the way they tell you then you hear “hold it… oh my god, thats the shot!” and your heard melts a little, realizing they must take pictures of lots of people and right now they are saying those things about me.

I was stunned. I took a friend to help me narrow down the choices and I am glad I did for two reasons, 1) she did help me narrow down the best photographs (I could have easily purchased them ALL) and 2) she reminded me that yes, that is me and yes, I am that breathtaking beauty in the photographs.

I would tell them, unless you’re a professional model, you’re gonna be nervous. Its normal, its natural, acknowledge that as soon as you can, then get rid of it. The sooner you do, the more fun you’ll have. Get a little lost in yourself and don’t think about what you are doing. Everyone has those rare moments, in their lives when they’ve put something on and looked in the mirror and thought, “wow, that’s me.” But day to day, we are bombarded with messages of how we should look and what size we need to be and that image in the mirror gets covered up by doubt and insecurity.  Over time, that image starts to dull and fade with constant comparison to that unobtainable standard we are held to. The trick is to send reminders to yourself every day, that the image in the mirror is the only true standard by which to compare. Surround yourself with things that make you feel beautiful and if you can’t do it for yourself, tell someone else. Beauty, true inner beauty cannot be purchased from a store, we have it inside of each of us, it radiates outward, and it is extremely contagious. Brittany and Mike just have a way of showing you whats already there.
