ALONG CAME WINTER //
The week prior we were feeling sunshine on our faces. Auburn doesn’t see snow on a consistent basis, so for it to have stuck around for a few days made this session very unique! This beautiful family of four came ready to face the cold, beanies and all!

Mike and I had the pleasure of photographing high school sweethearts, Heather & Mikes beautiful country inspired wedding in Sacramento, CA.
Their wedding took place at Crawford’s Barn towards the end of September.
The morning started off crisp and cool, the bride was worried about a down pour, but all of her supporting bridesmaids kept telling her it brought good luck on her wedding day!
There were few sprinkles leading up to the ceremony, but the second they said “I do!” the sun began shining! Perfect timing for us to capture family and posed pictures outside.
Let me tell you, not only was the venue gorgeous (and absolutely perfect for a country theme, hence it was literally inside a huge barn), but the decorations were perfect!
The bridesmaids and groomsmen were so easy going and all the guests made us feel so welcome!
Every detail of this wedding was planned by the bride and groom themselves, it was a day filled with laughter and love. The bride was truly glowing, you could feel the love between Mike & Heather throughout the entire day and night.

A couple weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing the cutest little newborn baby boy.
This is baby Blane!!
When I was asked to photograph Blane I was so excited! I mean look at those lips, and those huge hands and feet! He was such a cuddle bug who really wanted us to leave him alone! He was so content cuddled up in his mama’s arms.
Once he was settled and asleep, we flew through the poses!
This session took place in the privacy of the clients own home, located in Grass Valley, CA — mid afternoon.
When I first met with Tish & John I could totally sense the love and compassion these two had for each other. The smiles were endless and the laid back personalities were so enjoyable! The way they were talking about their wedding and venue just sounded like an absolute fairy tale.
Tish and John planned a beautiful ranch style wedding at their own horse ranch in Auburn, CA. They expressed that they were more interested in the candid shots as opposed to the planned and posed pictures. When we arrived around 3 in the afternoon, they started with a brunch for their closest friends and family members. It was a catered personal brunch with tons of delicious home-style food.
Following the brunch was the ceremony. Tish made an entrance down the grand staircase and over to her handsome groom, all while having roughly 200 guests there to witness and support.
Don’t let the guest count fool you… This was one of the most intimate and personal weddings I have attended. The love for each other and everyone there was truly endless. I was so thrilled when Shayna, a childhood friend, contacted me to do her bridal boudoir session for her soon to be husband! I was even more excited when she said she was bringing her wedding dress!
She arrived with full hair and makeup complete. She had a huge bag full of shoes and gorgeous pieces of lingerie in one hand; and her dress in the other. We hardly wasted any time before we began.
Shayna was so comfortable in front of the camera. Her poses flew naturally and I knew immediately she was rockin it! We did several poses in a handful of different outfits, one of which was a San Francisco 49ers Kaepernick jersey (her hubby’s favorite).
Then it was time to put on the dress…. I have never seen more sparkles on a wedding dress in my life! She put on the gorgeous Disney Princess style dress and she was glowing! She reminded me of Marilyn Monroe in quite a few of the shots we got… Just a simple classic beauty!
This might be my favorite boudoir session thus far! Does she not remind you of a Victorias Secret model?

This session took place in Colfax, CA in the early afternoon. All natural light.
Earlier last week I had the pleasure to meet and photograph this new little bundle of joy, Pyper! This was a touching story, I hope you enjoy a little insight :]
Pyper was brought into this world by her mother, Marcie, and her father, Omba. Marcie was due around the same time as Kim Kardashian and Kate Middleton. Kim Kardashian had North very early, and Kate Middleton was a little over a week late. Marcie was ready to have Pyper, but Pyper was not ready quite yet!
Marcie went to the doctors for a follow up and to set a plan of action. The plan was to induce later that week if Pyper hadn’t made her grand entrance yet. Marcie lost her older sister several years ago. It has been a very emotional rollercoaster for the entire family. They are the most kind hearted and loving family with such a remarkable bond.
Marcie went into labor naturally and delivered Pyper on the same day that her sister passed many years before. It was the most beautiful story to hear because Pypers’ middle name was that of her passed auntie.

I recently held a contest on Instagram (@BellaRosaPhotography) for all of my followers; Jessica and John were the lucky winners!! The timing could not have been any more perfect. John is part of the United States Marine Corps and was scheduled to come home for two weeks right as the contest was ending!
This session was absolutely beautiful, you could feel the love between them. The poses just flew so naturally, from one to another. I was so thrilled to photograph a man in uniform, this was a first for me! I LOVED it! For the remainder of August, I will be giving 20% off print packages for all US military members and veterans, thank you for all that you do for this country!
